Controls that matter
- Move — Walk and climb on any surface the game paints as valid. Corners are forgiving; use small taps when you need pixel-perfect landings.
- Jump — Chain jumps off walls to gain height. If you miss a ledge, slide down slightly and jump again rather than spamming at the peak.
- Interact — Push blocks, flip levers, and wake dormant mechanisms. If a door looks “almost” open, check for a missed pressure plate or block slot.
- Camera — Rotate often. Relics and levers hide above you or behind waterfalls; a quick orbit saves minutes of backtracking.
Stamina and insects
Every climb spends stamina. Insects refill the bar, but color hints at how much you recover. For Big Lunch, track which biome gave you which bug — fireflies cluster near heat, mosquitoes near water, beetles in ruins. Eat proactively before long ascents so you never fail mid-puzzle.
Water Temple — first clear pattern
- Start on low water. Flip the lever that drains the room so you can walk under gates.
- Climb the right wall, skip the shallow pool, and grab a mosquito if your bar wobbles.
- Push the green block into the side leak. It must seal the dribble or mid-level water will never behave.
- Raise water to the middle setting. New ledges appear on the back wall — ceiling climb is usually faster than swimming.
- At the ceiling groove, follow the route to your first relic. Drop with a buffered jump so you do not overshoot the safe platform.
- Go high water last. Float platforms align for the exit; if they stall, re-check the block seal.
Pro tip: Slow taps beat holding forward. Gecko Gods rewards clean arcs, especially when you aim for a lever from a ceiling approach.
